Default Fuel Pump took a dump

So I am getting nothing when i try starting the car. just spins and spins and spins. No whine from the gas tank. Checked fueses and they all look good. So I need a fuel pump. Its a 98 GT, so can I use a svt focus pump in it or just a regular walbro 255lph?

Stick with a stocker for your setup/power

Well before you go condemning the pump, check for power at the pump connector with the key on (your gonna need 2 people the pump only turns on for th first 5 seconds of KOEO)

Make sure the inertia switch isnt kicked. You should have power coming in and going out (with KOEO for the first 5 seconds)

Did it work before you swapped your carpet out?

I had it running while the new carpet was in. I had my brother turn the key to the on while i stuck my head underneath to listen for the pump and heard nothing. I should have check the inertia switch I will try that when I get home.

Ok, just because you cant hear the pump, doesnt mean the pump itself is bad... You should always check for power at the pump to make sure the circuits are still good and the inertia is operating

Good luck
