Clutch cable slipping!?
I just replaced my clutch back to stock because i had some problems w/ a broken pilot bearing and input shaft. I also have a steeda firewall clutch adjuster, when i adjust the "catch" position to the lowest point, it gradually stretches back to the highest position(pedal almost completely released) after some driving. This is causing my clutch to get bad again and the whisting to come back. Can anyone give me some advice as whether i need a new cable or what? I cant even do a burnout as to insufficient power from bad shift! any input is greatly appreciated thanks!

is it an aftermarket cable ? does it seem to happen more and/or faster after it gets hot ?
check to see if the outer housing of the cable has seperated and is drawing thru into the firewall adjuster, screw the adj in as far as u can and look at the end of the cable

I have this same problem.
I got a new clutch with adjuster and I think a different cable. When I first got the clutch, the adjuster was out maybe 3/4". Now it seems almost 1.5" out.
Plus, i can adjust it on the way to work, then by the time I get to work (12 miles) it's all screwed up.
Is it the adjuster or cable that is causing the problem?
