Default battery

when i put my ear right next to my negative battery terminal i hear a hissing or like a sparking. i am having major electrical problems and think this may be it. i changed my terminals but im thinking maybe i need a new ground wire... anyone else had this problem?

Don't put your ear next to the battery, Dur.


You have a short somewhere. All I can say is get out your DMM and start checking one circuit at a time.

How olds you battery and when does it happen.
I could see a hissing if the battery was low on acid, after prolonged use it would heat up and boil.
