Default Figuring out E/T with different gears.

I would like to know if anyone knows of a program or equation that can calculate 0-60mph, and 1/4 mile times. I would like to change the final drive gear ratios and see what times they would make.

Given the weight of the vehicle, the horsepower, and transmision gear ratios, and final drive gear ratio.

I would like to see which final drive gear ratio would be best, and compromise between the rpm I spend most time at and acceleration..

Thanks

Or... Does anyone know what what improvement in 1/4 mile time, when they got gears? I heard it will take off 0.4 seconds.

You are going to get nothing but guesses and opinions. I know of no set formula that says if a car ran a y.y sec 1/4 at xxx miles per hour with 3.27's then it will run a z.z 1/4 at zzz miles per hour with 4.10's.
