I have bought the zex nitrous system. And all my questions have been answered pretty well. But I have found 3 mustangs of the same year era with different colored wires for the TPS. And mine is a different color. I want to know is it the top middle or bottom wire out of the TPS that I should hook the white wire to. Does anyone know that. THANKS

 

Well what color are the wires coming out? Name all 3 of them in order from left to right.

 

And the only way to really tell is to test each wire with the DVOM (volt meter)

The wire you want to tap into is the one that reads ~5v at WOT. One wire is ground, one wire is your Vref 5v (constant 5v) and the other is the sensor wire which starts at about 1v at idle and when you crank the TB open you will watch it climb to ~5v.. Thats the wire you want

 

I am not home, But all were brown with different color strips orange green and I can not remember the other.

 

I ran into the same problem with my 98 Cobra when I wired up the ZEX kit...

I ended up using the method I just told you about with the DVOM. I believe the wire I tapped into was brown/white...but its been a while.

 

on my 99 it was the center wire
