brake system, I think I messed up ;)
Hey guys,
I am having a problem. I have an 02 GT, yesterday I had to change the valve cover gaskets, on the driver side, I couldn't get it back on without removing the master cylinder (And, I believe the hydro boost) I have honestly never messed with the brake system, so I unbolted it, and took the lines off. I think I unbolted the hydroboost because looking in the haynes manual, I think I saw that I took it off, and not just the master cylinder (The hydroboost has like 5 bolts holding it), my questions are, when I did that, a rod about 6in that had a white cap on one end, and a long spring fell onto the ground, I believe I found where it goes, I put the spring on the rod, and put it back into the hydroboost with the white cap facing the firewall.. Has anyone seen that part, and did I do it right,
and second, how would I bleed the system? Just loosen the 4 steel lines, and pump the petal at the master cylinder, and then the wheels, or is there an easier faster way?
