How do you swap tie rods from one rack to another?
Hey everyone;
I was just wondering how someone would swap tie rods from one power rack to another.
The application: 1996 Mustang
The Parts
1.) 1997 Cobra Rack (140k miles) with new steeda ends
2.) 2003 Mach 1 Rack (0 Miles, new)
I want to use the Mach 1 because its new.
Now from looking through parts magazines I have seen that the tie rod ends are longer on 99+ which makes sense because of the wider track.
Being that it is longer that tells me that I have to use the shorter (13 1/2" I think) Cobra tie rods from the Cobra rack.
I havnt ever swapped them before and was wondering if anyone knew how to do it.
I also wanted to ask.
If I swapped the front 03 Mach controll arms that I have onto the 96' can I just use the 03' rack without changing the tie rods? Will this widen my track (I think its 1/2" on each side wider on 99+)
Anyone that has done this or has good knowledge of this please help me out here.

Thanks, but I know what a tie rod looks like :P
I just didnt know how to remove them.
Without the tierods the racks are the same right? Same pressure lines? Same way the tierod connects to them?
