Default quick help...

Shop says I have an 11" friction plate assy.

1)is this an upgrade?
2)does it mean I have an 11" flywheel
3)do the flywheel and friction plate have to match in size?

sorry, I did some homework....

Why dont the product specs for flywheels give pressure plate size compatibility......this seems important so as to have the mount dowel pins on the flywheel align with the PP dowel pin holes..

Seriously, does anyone with knowlegde know if 10.5" and 11" clutch assys bolt to the same flywheel?? I'm only finding one flywheel option for my car.

I realize that the 11" clutch in my 98 Cobra may be an 'upgrade' but did they also have to install a diff flywheel....if so......was it by chance that it meshed properly with the starter??

I asking because I ordered a 10.5 clutch for the car....shop said they needed an 11" but i did not want to wait another week for another clutch (plus its a good idea to get the flywheel) so I simoly orderd a flywheel for the car with the hope that this would bring it back to standard specs and all would fit right.....so the shop tells me the flywheel might not mesh right (if at all) with the starter......

but the flywheel and starter thing both look bone stock.....

I got a Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel and the 2.1 clutch kit...is this gonna work?
