Default Power Window Switch Problem

I recall reading something about a power window switch problem a month or so back, but for the life of me, I can't find the thread now.

I cannot roll down my passenger side window from the driver side switch, but it works fine from the passenger switch. A couple of days ago, I hopped in the Stang and tried to roll down the driver side and it wouldn't work. I remembered reading here to hold the switch down and open and close the door and that did the trick. I still can't roll down the passenger side, but the driver side works fine again.

Is this a common problem? Does the switch need to be replaced or is it a wiring issue?

sounds like it might be a bad switch.

do you have a multimeter to test it?

I sure don't, but I've been meaning to pick one up for quite some time now. Maybe now is the time, haha.

Does sound like the switch to me, I just did one for a customer a month or two ago. 97 convt i believe, anyway, same issue, worked great after a switch swap. And yes, no time like the present to grab the multimeter.
