The Timken bearing is the best one out there. It's not made out of plastic but Aramid, the same stuff bullet proof vests are now made from. The second best option is the FRPP heavy duty job.
I currently have a ford racing heavy duty tob and its held up so far after about 5k. I do have an aftermarket quadrant, and firewall adjuster so I think that has something to do with it. I had the same tob last time and it squeaked from day one.
I would go with the timken because thats what ive heard is the best at the moment. Alot of people on svtperformance are using them atleast.
hmmm..... my girlfriends doesnt squeak with her current trans and it didnt with the stock one either.... and she has a FRPP hd tob. maybe some of ya'll just cant drive??
yeah if your throw out bearing is squeaking then it will fail eventually. im not sure how long it will take, but it will get soooo loud and annoying too. jazzer had a really cool mod he did to his. he used a magnet from a hard drive to hold the clutch arm away from the pressure plate.
