If the helicoil won't fix it then I agree with you. Go to a salvage yard and find a low mileage motor. If its within your budget you might even get a low mileage 3v and get the conversion kit.

Well its time to decide right now if its worth fixing the head, or just replacing the whole motor. How much $$ you're willing to spend will determine this.

Depends are you going to Fix the Head your Self? Install the motor by yourself?
The Price in Labor your going to Get Charged you can probably get a used motor.. And swapping motors in our cars are CAKE....

how much is that kit for the repair? i could not do anything by myself but my moms husband knows what hes doing. this is my dd so i cannot be without a car long.

*update* i went outside and pulled the coil loose and the spark plug came right out with it lol. obviously, the threads are stripped so yall know ur stuff . if i go new engine or new heads i will need a loan from the bank because i just graduated college and dont have a job yet. job market sucks lol. so i need the cheapest quick fix. any suggestions? plus im in houston and live in dallas so i need some way to get my car home...

Just helicoil/timesert it. You can buy it at autozone. It's very easy to do.
The kit comes with a drill bit, tap and helicoil. make sure both valves are closed in that cylinder. Just drill out the hole, grease up the tap and slowly tap the hole, install the helicoil, break off tab, do your best to vacuum out the cylinder install sparkplug and torque it to 13ft lbs. Don't worry if you can't get all the aluminum shavings out of the cylinder. Aluminum will leave the exhaust after the first few rotations and aluminum will not scratch the walls.
