The 302 is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 but the HO is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Not all small blocks are the same

Yes I know this but the 4.6 and 5.0 HO have the same firing order as for the 351 W and the 5.4L

Wow, no ****. I was under the impression all motors were numbered odd and even.
Guess that's what I get for being a GM tech on a Mustang forum, lol. Learn something new everyday.
And when I said bank 1 is odd and on the passenger side, I meant bank 1 is passenger side on the 4.6. Not every motor.

lol so i tell them i have a stripped cylinder head and they will know what i need. or do i tell them a helicoil or what.

I really recommend getting the timesert kit, but thats just me. What do I know however...
