I was wondering if I buy an aftermarket catted H pipe and left the stock mufflers, would the sound be ok?
The thing is where I live, there is a cop that LOVES to pull people over for exhaust. I went to city hall and found out that there is no decible limit, it goes by the peace officer's ear to determine if it's too loud. Bullsh*t if you ask me. I will be moving in about two years, but I can't stand not having a more free flowing exhaust. Which is the only reason I have not done it yet.

i got a catted xpipe but i still have the stock mufflers and its pretty quiet. i dont a good sound clip but here it is ruining my diff doing donuts at WOT in an enclosed culdesac.

if you are worried about the sound, just dont step on the go pedal so much. aftermarket h pipe with stock mufflers will not be so loud since you are only removing 2 cats. u might not even notice if you are cruising, only if accelerate hard
