You are going to get a crapload of opinions, so I might as well give you mine.
Gears (which everyone has suggested so far, so that's a no brainer). I like 4.10's
Midpipe - X or H, cats or no cats - up to you
Whatever is left over goes towards cat back exhaust.
There's my two cents.

If you could find someone that will sell you a 03 cobra motor/tranny for $1000 then I would go that route. Or someone that would steal you one would be nice too.. 
Sine I doubt you are going to find something like that, I think everyones opinions are good.. Gears, Shifter, and what exhaust you can afford.
