Default Engine fitment???

Will a newer model 8.1 351 Windsor motor bolt up on a 2000 Mustang GT with the 4.6? My husband seems to think it might and I have been googling all around, but can't find any information to help me. I believe the windsor motor came out of a 2002 F250 gas motor.

Please help if you can.

We have a 94 Mustang GT also, will that have this tubular k member that you are referencing? And I am sure the other stuff won't cost much.

My husband is an A.S.E. Certified Diesel Tech and loves toying around with cars, but knows a hell of a lot more about Diesel engines and such. Thanks for your help.

if it came out of a 02 f250 its a 5.4 or a 6.8 v10. They will fit but they take a little bit of massaging to get either of them in there.

351w havent been used in ford trucks since the mid 90's. so either the year truck u r talking about is wrong or the engine. either way, all of the engines mentioned above will fit.

Alright, so I am guessing, if we can pick up this engine for $450. that's a steal! If it does not fit I am blaming you guys.

well you can make 5.8 fit, you either need a tubular k member with 5liter mounts or a 94/95 gt k member
