Well, it might. It depends on the tire size if it was kept the same diameter and if all 4 wheels are the same diameter. If he has like, 245/45/17 up front and 275/45/17 in back, the back tires will be taller, thus causing the rear speed sensors to read differently than the front, and trip the ABS light.
The hight needs to have at least an Inch+ of difference before it doesn't sense the correct value.

yea it was an option, atleast on 99s it was i know for sure...my car has it, but a few i looked at before i got mine did not have it, and pre 99 didnt have it either

right now i'm running 255/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear
i heard that it could be the cause of the gears. when mechanics install them they very often damage the abs sensor.
