Spring compressors can be had for like $20....
jack the a-arm/axle up, put the compressors on, let the jack down, bam, out it comes.

WHAT?!?!? Im lost here! Ive put a million sprngs in and I use a jack every time. You jack it up into place and put the hardware in so it doesnt come out. LOL

RE: poop on lowering
Anyone ever used springs from dropzone? My buddy rolled his '02 and sold me the DZ springs he never got to install. They claim to lower the car 2 inches, but I'm worried that it may be a little too much. I know Steeda springs don't require a change in shocks/struts, but what about the DZ springs? BTW, I have the replacement bushings to correct the alignment.
Thanks

RE: poop on lowering
How long would this whole process take? And I think I will have to borrow a floor jack.... to do it. I have my H&R springs in the closet waiting to go on....
Also, I have a pinion snubber (3 actually, i got an extra) and new spring isolators and some funny looking things that i dont know what they are.. long rubber tubes, really thing, for the front end somewhere, they came as a kit... I'll posta link so someone can tell me where they go...

WHAT!?
2-3 hours just for the fronts???? I can get it done w/ a helper in less than 1.5 hrs....
It's simple... jack the front of the car up, take off wheels/tires, unclip ABS sensor shiz, take out the 2 banjo bolts holding the caliper on and pull he caliper off.
Jack the a-arm up so the spring compresses, put on the compressors, Un-bolt the two bolts holding the factory strut mount and allow it to drop through the hole in the inner fender, let the a-arm down, spring will fall out since the compressors kept it in a compressed state. Make note of where the old spring was and replace new spring in the exact same spot. Make sure everything is lined up, put strut back in place and re-aligned. replace abs sensors and calipers. Replace wheel.
Total time: 15-20 minutes per wheel
Rear: Jack up rear, take off wheel/tire, un-bolt caliper, remove ABS clips, jack up axle, place compressors on spring, lower axle. Springs may have to be compressed more with a wrench, maybe not. put new springs in, etc....
Oh, Emann, those "rubber hoses" are probably your lower isolators...they wrap around the bottom of the spring and rest on the control/a-arm.

RE: poop on lowering
It took me 1 hr to do all 4 by myself......I was cheating and used an electric impact.
In the front I did not use spring compressors so that saves time.I only unbolted the center nut on the strut, not the 2 outer, so that more saves time..
In the rear, also no compressors and did not unbolt calipers...Saved even more time
I did run a chain through the spring just in case it wanted to say hello, but it was never needed....but I would still use it on the next one, it only takes once [X(]
