"Spongy" Brakes?

More or less.

Have someone hold the brake pedal as hard as they can... open the bleeder a little, close it up before their foot hits the floor if at all possible... just be sure they HOLD THE PEDAL if it does go all the way to the floor. Close the bleeder, allow them to release it and press a few times.

Check the reservoir to be sure you're not going to pull air in - and repeat until no more bubbles are coming out of the line. I generally do it till I get clean fluid out... but as I said, I'm abusive towards my brakes and like to keep fresh fluid at the ends.
