no its not to raise it so it doesnt get warm, its just to give you extra air in your intake.

they dont add any horsepower. the only practical use ive ever seen come from those things is people who screw their nitrous nozzles into it. any other application its absolutely worthless and will add 2 ounces of weight to your front end.

He is correct. Applications of the spacer in the 2v cars are basically worthless. You will see maybe 1-2rwhp out of the thing, so it's not all bad and it doesn't hurt you to put it on, especially if it's free - in the end you want the car to have as much air as it can handle... the better she breathes, the better she goes.

On the other side, the 75mm TB is not overkill so don't worry about it. You will see more gains from the 75mm TB then the 70mm TB - first hand dyno tested on my old GT when I had it.

The only way an intake spacer is usefull is if your running the stock upper intake. The whole reason for it is it gives you the same lift that an aftermarket intake will. Adding it to an aftermarket intake will likely throw off the air intake flow into the heads.

if your getting it for free I go for it n try it.. but if you dont "feel" anything(which you wont) I would take it off and list it on ebay.lol
