Any ideas for what the best exhaust would be for my new GT (02') ?
....and how the hell can i make my hood scoop functional....

It takes entirely too much money and effort to make the hood scoop functional. I think I read somewhere that it is actually easier and cheaper to buy a Mach shaker kit.

Exhaust - you ask that question in here and you are going to get opinions on whay people have on theirs
Headers - most common answer is that cost and time of installing is not worth the gain
Midpipe - Catted = Emissions, Off-road = No Emissions
H Pipe = Nice mean grumble down low, X Pipe = Loud at WOT
Catback - Go to www.mustangexhaust.com , register, listen to the different combinations

Functional Hood - Also, not worth the effort. You can cut it out, but debris (leaves, dirt, rocks, etc) will fly in their. Plus it won't have any type of "Ram Air" effect, but will keep the engine bay cooler. If you want to spend the money, got with an aftermarket hood (Mach 1, Cowl).
