Default Brakes

I need upgraded Breaks for my 550 -600 hp 01 gt, Would 03 cobra brakes be sufficent or would you do something else for that amount of power. Do i need front and back or will just front work. thanks

Is that the regular cobra or cobra R brakes. The regular cobra kits do not look slotted.

regular cobra, you can get slotted rotors normally they dont come in a kit. i had a 91 gt900hp drag car that ran 8's in the quarter with stock fox brakes on it and it stopped just fine.

To quote cliffyk, cross drilled rotors aren't good for performance, they're for looks. I would get cobra calipers and look into slotted rotors for a cobra. Hawk break pads ftw.

go with cobra caliper up front you will need 13" rotors for the rear you can run stock GT breaks. I have Cobra's up front with slotted and crossed drill rotors and when with matching slotted and crossed drilled GT rotors in the rear.

It is not worth swapping the rears over and they work awesome.
