Exclamation Chirp noise from rear of car

The past few weeks I have noticed a chirping like noise coming from the rear of the car. I just put gears in the car (FRPP 4.30's). I did do it myself and the gears make no noise at all. I replaced the carrier bearings and races and also both pinion bearings. I did not do the axle bearings or seals however. Thr gears have been in since September and the noise recently started. Could it possibly be thr axle bearings going bad?

could be... could also be brake pads... If it is the pads it will stop chirping underbreaking, well unless there really bad the will prolly squeel. Could also be the gears too, check the diff's plug for metal flakes, that will help narrow it down.

After driving around today, I can lend some information. It only seems to start once the rear warms up. If I hit the brakes the sound will not go away, just slow down with the car. The sound comes on at about 10mph and seems to go away around 50, but maybe I just cant hear it because of my exhaust.

If it is a continous noise and only occurs while the car is in motion including while braking than it is most likely the axle bearings. Does it appear to be louder on one side or the other? If so, than that is usually the dead give away it is an axle bearing as they rarely wear out at the same time. How many miles are on the car?

75000 miles as of Sunday. And it also sounds like it's more from the passenger side of the car than driver as well.

FRPP 4.30's well it could be your tires chirping from all that power lmao but from what I could gather it could likely be the axle bearing because you said it makes noise when warm

sorry if i was no help, just wanted to back up JCstang01 and I was excited to post as I am a new member
