Default Replacing Intake Manifold

On a difficulty scale, what would you give this? I dremeled + JB welded a previous crack, now theres a ****ing HOLE with a steady stream of coolant spraying out.

I need to replace this asap. I will buy the manifold online, but just curious if anyone has tackled this project themselves.

Thanks..

I just bought the improved manifold off 50resto.com

http://secure.50resto.com/product1.c...roduct_ID=2118

$189

Requires a new alternator bracket = $11

$216 and change w/tax

i had a shop do mine, cost 200$ labor , manifold was around 200$ and then i needed new plugs/wires/bolts/gaskets etc and some new coolant total was around 500$. i couldnt do mine myself, it was during middle of winter. its a relatively big job, and time consuming but id definetly have tried it myself if it were warmer at the time. goodluck!

Like he said.. It's not a hard job, just time consuming... A lot of little things need to be taken off in order... Not too many short cuts you can take, since it's at the bottom of the pile.. Just remember to keep like parts/hardware together, like using ziploc baggies and a marker... Best thing I can suggest... And put the parts you take off, lined up in the order in which they came off, and just try to remember orientation..

Personally, I would... While you're in there, get all new gaskets, and any other things (thermostat), that you're going to remove and will be inexpensive anyway..

I don't believe in overkill... It doesn't hurt to replace older items with newer items, even if they don't add HP/TQ...

Just remember, if you need some help, ask someone on here, or check the manual...

Just check under your hood, should be listed next to your Belt routing sticker...
