I would go with the MGW I drove my buddies the other day after we installed it, and loved it. I'm going to buy one next week. I had a Hurst got rid of it, bought a B&M don't like it either. So if anyone wants a B&M I'll sell it cheap.

I had a steeda with my 3650 and when I went to the t56 I went to MGW I loved them both but if I had to pick MGW is the better of the 2

On my fox body, I had the Hurst. Did you try adjusting the stops on the Hurst to see if U could get better action during shifts? If I'm wrong let me know, but on my T5 tranny, U could adjust the the -length- of the shifter with set screws. Effectively limiting length of throws. Things may have changed... So if wrong, please correct... Look at cliffyk's sig. MGW shifter- heard many positive reviews...

Nope, never heard of an adjustable throw shifter except the MGW"s for S197's...

I didn't use my set screws because I have read extensively that the 3650 has beefy internal stop screws that prevent overshifting and damage.

On the T-3650 transmission you are supposed to take the shifter stops out. The transmission has internal stops. Stops are there to protect the transmission from damage. They don't really adjust the throw. I tried doing that on a "66 Dodge. I immediately put them back where they belonged. I didn't tear anything up but it kept popping out of gear. Crank the stop screws in and the gears in the transmission won't fully engage.

don't ever ever get put a stock shifter back on. i have a pro 5.0, very short and notchy, love it. for a smoother shift you can get a try ex. and sell your hurst to get some money back

Can't imagine ever going back to stock either...for any reason. Any aftermarket shifter is light years better than stock. I have a Hurst on my 3650 and I see no problems with it at all.

I'm curious, why do you hate yours so much?

Exactly which Hurst do you have Cajungt?

One thing I don't like about the 99-04 Hurst shifters is that the handle is way too short. I am using my stock handle with a Steeda bolt adaptor to bolt it right up. So I get the nice stock shift **** height but with a throw as short as an MGW.
