Help with my 4 valve swap?
#11
I have the sniper tuner. I tried yesterday bumping my idle up to 750-800 and went for a drive and it still stalled at low speeds.(say 15mph and under) I adjusted the maf to the 24 lb injectors. I still think it has something to do with my speedo not working and the pcm doesnt know what speed im going and doesnt adjust for that low speed? If not im lost. I guess my next step is to try and get it dyno tuned after i fix my speedo and O2's?

did your car have this stalling problem before the swap? if so then it is likely that this problem has been carried over and is not the 4v engine. also as soon as your speedo went out, did you develop this problem or was it right after the swap that this happened? if you can tell us when this happened then we can help isolate the problem.

This problem started after the swap for sure. I have long tube headers, shorty h pipe with flows and it sees at like 1500 rpms or so on decel with the clutch engaged, the computer canted adjust for the difference and it stalls. (thats what it feels like to me) My speedo stopped working before the swap. Does anyone know what needs to be changed with the tune to stop this or have a good starting point? I can adjust a lot with my tuner if i knew where to start with fuel adjustment. I dont know my a/f but im kicking the idea around of getting a a/f gauge for it. I am also going to check and see how much a dyno tune would be from the local shop by me. What would be a far price for a dyno tune for a N/A tune?

DO you have a lap top or a way to data log your car? If you do than get ahold of someone that can send you a canned tune. Tell them what you have done they will send you a tune you data log the tune they sent you and you send it back to them they make adjustments and send you a new tune and you do this until it is right. That option is probably $250 or you can go to a dyno tune for what $1000
Unless you have the really expensive tuner and software I doubt you are adjusting much of anything that is going to help you on your own
