Default Intake Manifold Help??

I went to replace my intake manifold gasket due to coolant getting into spark plug wells. I picked up a felpro gasket set and when I took off the intake, I found out after some research I have a Dorman Intake. It uses the individual gaskets for each port. My suggestion should I put some new silicone around each coolant port and try it or should I get a replacement Ford Racing Intake Manifold? Thanks for input. The Individual gaskets looked in great shape and the intake did not appear cracked..

i beleive that the dorman intake has a lifetime warranty.take it off and see is someone will work with you on it.i was wondering if someone would have issues with the dorman intake.i installed a bunch of them before ford started the recall.i figured that the gasket design would cause a issue seings how they were built into the intake and arnt servicable.good luck.when mine bustes im gonna go with a ford intake so i can service the gaskets.

Yeah, use a 1/4" bead of high temp silicone gasket maker around the coolant passages and adjacent bolts holes. That should keep it from springing a leak. Once you get the intake in place with all the bolts started, you might want to let it sit for about a half hour or so before tightening it down. This is to let the silicone set a bit and will reduce the likelihood of a leak.

Thanks for the input. The Dorman Intake does have the aluminum crossover. I looked over the intake and appears to be in good shape. I will try the silicon and see how it goes..thanks again.
