Torque Boxes?
I saw a few quick mentions of torque boxes (i.e. replacing or re-enforcing the stock ones) and wanted to ask a bit more about 'em, but didn't wanna hijack a subframe connector thread
i really don't know anything about torque boxes, what benefit they can provide, and so forth
could any of you guys enlighten me?

Torque boxes are welded to the frame and are the mounting point for the control arms. However, the factory boxes are not for high HP/TRQ. UPR and other companies offer sets that bolt inside the existing boxes to reinforce them. On later models, some cutting is necessary, but it's not too bad.
Your factory weld boxes are good for everyday driving. If you have some mods and tend to romp the right pedal a lot, then consider installing them.
If you mod the suspension with new CAs and/or gears, consider installing them.
If you have 300+ RWHP and gears, definitely install them.
That is my opinion. UPRs are about $200.
