It dosent happen every time but I think it is only going to get worse. Were and what type of trany is a good replacement. Also I am not looking to spend a fortune. Thanks everybody

How much is a fortune to you?? Here is one. Another. And yet another, though more expensive than the others.

Sounds like a bad syncro in 4th gear.. You could get yours rebuilt, w/ better internals for probably less than buying a brand new bad *** tranny... Not sure what kind of Tranny shops you have in your area..

the trany has already been operated on by Ford about 2 years ago. one of the shift forks broke and had to be replaced. The problem with opening up the trany is it is aluminum, and when put back together the case dosent seal like new and can result in more problems than you started out with.

I will be going to pick up my car either tommarow or the next day, after a trans swap. The grand total is now 3400 dollars (installed) with almost 700 of that install costs. It was supposed to be 400 bucks, so I dunno wtf happened there.

I did have to get a new bellhousing and yoke along with the trans, and I upgraded the clutch to a spec stage 3 and put in a new flywheel, plus a firewall quadrant and clutch adjuster.

I put a TKO 500 in btw.
