Well, through some trial and error, i'm sure i'll find the right spot.

Here's Bill Putman's graph of VT stage 1's. The specs are almost the same as the MHS stage 2's, and the dyno graph is practically identical to mine in. It's just a bolt ons car as well.

Basically, he peaks around 5500, and seems to hold extremely well to 6000. You'll see that it starts tanking hard around 6300.

Looking at Bills graph without knowing already what he shifted at I would be using around 6500 myself give or take.

Does your torque curve look just like that too? That's pretty much what the top of my power curve looks like but I my torque comes in a bit lower and basically stays peaked from like 3800-4500. Maybe I'll try shifting up towards 6500 next time I go to the track. Maybe I can trap over 110 N/A

I'll upload my dyno graph when I get home

Yep, my torque curve looks the same too. I agree that 6500 might be a really good spot based on the chart.

I'd like to see your chart too. It would be fun to compare the peaks and drop offs and what not.

Actually, i just found another cool article by Putnam. Here he states that he's shifting at 6400.

Tbirdscwd, if you don't mind my asking, what are the specs on your cams?

I made a few runs where we revved up to the 6500rpm range and I remember the power didn't really start taking a dive til after around 6400. The graph I have right now only goes up to 6200, cause the 21# injectors are being pressed to their limits even at that point and we didn't want to keep leaning it out just for the sake of revving higher. I'm currently in the market for some bigger injectors so I can rev this thing to the moon.....LOL

I also don't need to rev that high to get back into the meat of my torque in the next gear. But once I get some new injectors on there, I'll see what it does to my power up top. I know the main thing I need for better ETs is dropping my 60ft time, but I'm all for picking up some trap speed too

MPH won't tell anyone their specs because of the time and money they put into R&D for them. He said they've spent over $50,000 just on the development of their Blower Grind. The only thing Tim would tell me is that they are a .550 lift and 115 centerlines. I would like to know that myself. I was thinking about having them doctored and finding out. They are damn good cams, I know that. I'm thinking about picking up a set of his Kenne Bell cams for my build in the future before they are completely done. Tim has since moved and gone into business with Mr. Norm, so I think MPH is or will be no more.

Gotcha! That's cool that your torque stays almost exactly the same from 3800-4500. Looking at Putnam's chart it looks like he's within 5 rwtq from the same 3800-4500, so i'm sure mine is identical.

Who's Mr. Norm? I didn't know MPH was possibly going out of business.

Mr. Norm is a legend in the muscle car industry. Mostly specializing in mopars I think. I'm not sure if their stuff just won't be available anymore or if it will just be available through mrnormsgarage.com from now on or what the deal is.

Here's a scan of my most recent dyno. This is the last of 8 runs within a 2 hour period, so I'm sure there was some heat soak setting in LOL The thing starts to lean out towards 6k, but I don't remember the exact rpm. Once I get my new injectors I'll hop back on the dyno and see if the peak moves closer to 6 at all. I know I peaked around 6400 when I was FI, but that probably had a lot to do with the blower force feeding air.
