Default RE: shifting questions?

I shift at between 1800-2200 when being a miser. When roasting and dusting ricers I try to shift just b4 redline. It doesn't do much good to hi rev a fairly stock GT. Check out my website in the sig and you'll see my dyno which is pretty typical of a lightly mod'd 2v GT. You can see where the 'meat' of the curve is. Hope this helps.

Optimal shfit point on a 99-04 GT is 5700 rpm. It places you back at the start of your band.

I runa shift light the flick on a 5600 at the rpms peak 5750 by the time I react (data logged with my predator)

I have gotten my best times pulling 4th at the end of the 1/4 instead of running out 3rd (stock gearing and exhaust).
