so i had this code in the predator which is p0401 which is: EGR flow insufficient detected ( after i fix the diver side headers cause there was leak,however, i did search about this code and alot of websites said that it caused by the egr sensor which is this:



after i instal it the SES light didnt go ! so i cleared it, and then apear again !

so why this sensor didnt fix my problem?

is it the wrong sensor to replace?

or there is further problem to be fix?

 

update:

i just replace the EGR valve and still the check engine didnt go ! i cleared it and still apear again ! so how can i solve it ?

 

Here's what the 2002 shop manual says about P0401.

Work each potential issue, check to make sure the EGR pipe is not stuffed up...

 

when i had that code, it was cause the vaccum control solenoid

 

first i fix the headers in the drivers side because there was a leak..... then this code show up.... i changed the egr senser and still not gone... i changed the egr valve and still the code shows up !! the garage guys ( both electric and mechanic) said they tried to fix it but every thing seems fine ! only that the electric guy said that it cloud have an over flow air which i couldnt understand........ so what should i do guys ??

 

how did you fix it? i meant which parts did you change/ where are this problem location.....
