Default Borg Warner t45. I took bellhousing off

I was changing my clutch, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing in my 1997 ford mustang GT. Borg warner t45 transmission. And the repair guide said take bellhousing of, for changing the throwout bearing. so I took the bellhousing off the transmission!! BAD IDEA!! two bearings and two metal or rings fell out. I put the right back inside the bellhousing and bolted it back on the transmission.

I finished changing the clutch.. and now the transmission is making a grinding sorta noise. it isn't very loud. and it gets louder the higher i raise the rpms.... It is very deep noise. did I put the bearing in wrong? I am scared to drop the transmission and open it back up.... I'm not good enough to rebuild a tranny.

Thanks.

Here's a parts diagram for the T-45, the spacers and bearing that "fell out" were likely those I have highlighted--did they go back in the order shown?

You didn't need to take the bellhousing off the tranny.

Does the noise go away when you push in the clutch? Does it make the noise at the same rpms all the time?

those are the two bearings that fell out. and the big metal o-rings. and i did put them back in, in that order. they wouldn't sit on the gear. so i put them in the round hole that's cut into the bellhousing where i assume they go into..

the part number 6, 7, 9 ,10 fell out.

I know i don't need to now. but i didn't know before and i was fallowing the repair manual. the noise is a metal grinding noise that gets louder at higher rpms (spinning faster on what ever it is hitting)

As for the clutch. i haven't messed with that much.

Whether or not you "can" take pictures and post them is in your ballpark--I for one, and I am sure I speak for many others here, would be pleased to look at them and offer our 2¢ worth...
