a/c problems

Default a/c problems

anybody know anything about air conditioning in our cars? mine only blows hot air, not cold, there's enough freeon (sp?) in it, but the compressors not kicking on, we tried jumping the clutch but it still wouldn't turn on...anybody have any experience with it? kinda want cold ac by the time we go down to myrtle for Mustang Week

go buy a can of 134a with a tube and guage. its freon. Put the tube on the small vavle line and fill it up to upper Green. there is also direrctions on the can, or click on my name and read the thread about charging AC lines.

But he said he jumper the clutch and it still wont kick on(assuming you know how to do that properly?) ru getting power to the a/c clutch is the clutch material coming out of it(clutch is smoked) can u turn the compressor by hand?(not the pully but the very front of it? if you have all of that then buy the r134a kit and check the system pressures first dont just add to it if it is low then add but if the compressor wont turn on then having freon is a moot point. do all that then report back
