I'm having Electrical Issues with remote keyless control box
I have a '96 GT that I bought about a year ago and it has been used and abused. One of the previous owners put a switch in a wire to the remote keyless entry control box. You have to flip the switch for ten seconds or so then switch it back so that the car will start; if you don't all the lights and everything come on but the car wont turn over. I'm beginning to think that it had an issue and the guy somehow figured out that this switch was the easiest way to fix it. I really want to get rid of this switch and get the ignition system to work like it is supposed to. Could it be the keyless entry control box itself or a improperly programed key? Also the door chime doesn't ding when the key is in the ignition, the ignition doesn't roll back to the accessory position, and the trunk release button in the glove box doesn't work; all tied together? I doubt it. Any help anybody can give would be appreciated. THANK YOU
