Holes in the floor..help
1) I removed the carpet yesterday and discovered at least one small hole on the floor. It is rusted out from outside where it was spot welded and goes through.
What are my options?
This is really small hole. About 0.5mm in diameter. The screw driver will not go through.
Should I put under body paint to prevent rust from spreading out? I drive this car in the winter...
(I was thinking about putting fiberglass cloth with epoxy from inside just to close opening)
2) I found that Ford has hole through the floor. It is there by design and completely open. It located behind the drivers seat and goes inside little bridge which goes across the car right where back seat edge. This is $$$3ed up!!!

Clean off all rust and put some rust encapsulator on it. They have it at most autoparts stores. You could also drill the hole out a little and put a rubber plug in it. You would be surprised on how many holes there are in your car that Ford put rubber plugs in. I would assume your missing the one you put in your post

Just out of curiosity is the hole really only 0.5mm (0.020")--in which case you would need one tiny little screwdriver to fit through--or is it 5.0mm (0.197")?
If it is indeed 0.5mm then I would just wire brush the area around it well and use the undercoating.
If it is 5.0mm then you probably should use some sort of filler, or drill it out to 1/4", squirt the hole and surrounding area with undercoating, and then put stove bolt in it with a couple washers top and bottom. Then squirt it again...
I lived in New England for 44 of my 62 years, and though the heat down here is beastly (it's 99.8°F out there right now) I do not miss having cars rot out from under me at all.
I don't miss the "scraping and shoveling" part either...
