Well i finally got a chance to remove my wheel and fender well liner so i could get to my air filter and Maf sensor. Well not only did i find a nasty filter but i also found that there are two wires cut on the maf sensor.

Im assuming this aint normal right? LOL

The two outside wires were cut or something.
One is Grey and the other is Grey with red/orange strip.

Any help here would be much appreciated. Also there is a plug there also. Whats that?

 

What year is the car? You have a 6 wire MAF connector, those two wires are for the Intake air temp sensor (IAT) Which on certain years was integrated with MAF. I am guessing your IAT been relocated, and rather than buying the correct adapter they just cut the wires, if you look at the other end of that wire harness you will find the wires and where the new IAT is located.
