Default C&L Intake Plenum / fitment issues

I have a C&L Upper Intake Plenum that has arrived and I have no idea if it's the correct one for my year Mustang. I see on C&L's website that they carry one for 96-01 cars and 01.5-04. I am in Canada on a business trip and can't check to see if it's the correct one till Wednesday.

Anyone know what the change(s) they made was?

If it's the 96-01 model, is there a way that I can modify it to fit on my 02?

This is driving me insane, I was hoping to put it on as soon as I returned home. I've been on the road for 2.5 weeks!!!

Anyone have some answers?

Thanks!

It has something to do with one of the inlet tubes. When I ordered mine they needed to know the year of the car to get the proper one.

Well, that I understand. I was looking for something a bit more precise.

From what I can gather, it had to do with the diameter of that inlet tube you mentioned. Apparently it just uses a different sized fitting. If that's the case, I don't see a problem in attaching adapter to the fitting on the stock tube to downsize/upsize it to the correct diameter for installation. Unless there is an easier way to accomplish the task.

Any ideas?

Was this the only change made ?

Shouldn't be any difference. I had the C&L on my 02 (which spun a rod bearing) and I got a cheap engine to buy me some time on a NEW one. Anyways the cheap engine is out of a 96 and the C&L fits perfect.

The only difference is the little pvc connector i labled in the picture. I have the wrong one for my car but was still able to use it thanks to some ruber hose and a zip tie. Im sure you have the correct one so dont worry about it. If that tube doesnt fit then you will know you have the wrong one, but it will still work.

And this too is right off the C&L site: "The only difference is in the size of the PCV fitting on the driver's side front corner of the plenum. Early model (1996-2000) models should use the smaller fitting, and 2001-present models use a larger PCV hose, which requires a larger fitting for proper fit."
