yeah but if disable your emissions they cant pass you even at a private shop because it wont read that the system is ready. Unless they just slap a sticker on theres no way to get around it...

i just passed my inspection a month or 2 ago. all they did was plug in a code reader to see if it was popping codes for cats.

I bought a 98Gt with BBK o/r h-pipe and am wondering if i need to put the cats back on for emissions. The O2 sensors are hooked up and showing no codes. Could i assume that i will pass?

take it in and find out...they aren't going to stab or beat you if you fail anyways...

make sure all your lights and everything work. if they find one thing wrong with the obvious stuff, it will give them reason to dig.
