I know it's probably too late but a narrowband A/F gauge will give you no useful information. It monitors only a narrow range around stoich and does not provide any actual numbers. You must use a wideband O2 gauge to properly monitor A/F ratio, which is what a dyno shop uses. They are not cheap at around $250+, but they use a dedicated O2 sensor that mounts into a bung welded onto your midpipe and avoid any splicing into the stock wiring.
