New from CA having starting problems
I just got this mustang about 2 weeks ago. Its a 2000 gt vert. It ran awesome but today i went to start it up and it died instantly. Now I go to start it and all that happens is the theft light flashes. None of the interior lights turn on but some random things work such as the mirrors, and power lumbar but nothing else seems to work. I tired disconnecting the negative battery terminal but the theft light stays on and I can hear clicking under the dash. Can anyone help me figure out whats wrong with it

Check the battery voltage at rest (should be 12.2 to 12.6V), and during cranking (should be more than 10.5V).
If not then the battery is bad or not charging.
My bet is that it's bad, a load test can sort that out--bring it to a FLAPS and have them test it--or buy a load tester, this is an OK unit, this is the finest kind.
The battery has to be fully charged for a load test to be most definitive.
