Default fuel filter mess up maybe?

ok so i changed my fuel filter yesterday, i first unplugged the fuel pump swith thing in the trunk on the drivers side by the tail light, then started the car right after to get rid of the pressure it ran for about 10 min and never died but sounded like it was going to the whole time, anyway i then turned the car off and tried to turn it back on and it didnt so i got under there and replaced it then reconected the plug and started it now my problem is that il will tap the gas it will tack to 1500 for about three seconds then go back down to idle and while i drive it wants to tack back up to 1500 which makes it very anoying to drive,
and its jsut not normal, for example if im in second gear and push the clutch in as im going up to a stop sighn the rpm's will jump to 1500 and if i sit the for a second or two it will drop back dowd, but at any point during driving while the engine and the tranny are connected with the clutch out it constantly wants to stay at 1500 rpm's i have no idea why and how to fix it, so if anyone knows plz tell me whats the deal here thanksss

Well, in the first disconnecting the inertia switch is not the correct way of disabling the fuel pump, it is intended to disable the fuel pump driver module in a crash:

From the shop manual:
The inertia fuel shut-off (IFS) switch is used to de-energize the fuel delivery secondary circuit in the event of a collision. The IFS switch is a safety device that should only be reset after a thorough inspection of the vehicle (following a collision).
The proper way is to remove the fuel pump fuse, also from the shop manual:
Fuel System Pressure Release

NOTE: The fuel pump fuse is located in the engine compartment fuse box location F1.14.
  1. Remove the fuel pump fuse.
  2. Start the engine and allow it to idle until it stalls.
  3. After the engine stalls, crank the engine for approximately 5 seconds to make sure the fuel injection supply manifold pressure has been released.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  5. When fuel system service is complete, install the fuel pump fuse.

NOTE: It may take more than one key cycle to pressurize the fuel system.

  6. Cycle the ignition key and wait three seconds to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks before starting the engine.
  7. Start the vehicle and check the fuel system for leaks.
So I suspect that the fuel pump driver module (which has it's power disconnected when the inertia switch is disconnected) may have been damaged. FWIW here's the wiring diagram for the fuel pump and driver module.

I am surprised the car started, that may be some sort of "limp mode" thing in case the inertia switch opens? I can't find anything in the manual about that though.

when i did mine, i disconnected the same same switch. I primed it a few times and it started right up with no problems. maybe you should disconnect the battery for a few hours and see if that helps.

and of course one thing gets fixed and naturally another noise appears out of no where, i got in it just before and it was a cold start, i push the clutch in by itself and after one full second i hear a whine comin from the tranny and without the radio on it sounded pretty loude so i preceeded to drive it and after about 1 minute it went away maybe from being used a little it warmed up maybe idk but this is the story of my life one thing is fixed another thing pops up.....any ideas??
