Cool Steeda Pulleys

I'm about to install some new Steeda underdrive pulleys.... anyone got opinions on the install or after affects? Worth the price or effort?

Depends what kind of gains you think are worth the cost of the pulleys.

For the $150 i paid for them i think it was worth it. You do free up a couple of hp.

I've got the same car in Cali and any bolt on that frees up power and still passes smog is worth it! Your not really gonna notice much but if you have a buddy that you race all the time that will be the best way to tell if you've gained much.
What other mods do you have?

I didn't notice much on my car when I did it. But I would do it again. Easy to do and fairly cheap. Any power you can free up at all is a good thing.

Nothing too much, CAI, Flowmaster Cat Back, and 70mm BBk throttle Body... hoping that I can actually put them on this next weekend...

Save Your money! If your ULTIMATE GOAL is to go fast, don't waste your money on BS mods. I did and several $$$$$$$$$$ later i was wishing i should have just saved my money and bought a supercharger. To each his own though. IMO (and it's just my $0.02) save your money and go with trick flows 2v heads along with cams and an aftermarket intake if you want to stay NA or find a used supercharger and call it a day.

I personally thought my steeda pulleys made a very noticeable difference on my car and highly recommend them to people who have all the other simple "bolt-ons" already installed, but to each his own. I have a couple pieces of advice for you. First of all, make sure you are using a good impact wrench and compressor or the job is nearly impossible. Second, and most importantly, make sure that you place a small amount of ultra black rtv sealant in the keyhole of the steeda harmonic dampener. I had small droplets of oil sprayed all over my engine compartment after only a few days of driving and had to do an entire purple power wash of the engine bay, huge mess! One more thing, i changed back to my stock alternator pulley after just a few weeks of installing them. I came to the conclusion that the minimal hp gain was not worth loosing voltage to my nitrous, coil packs, stereo system, etc.... Hope this helps, good luck and have fun!
