hello, i just got a 2002 mustang gt and this is my first post. i want to get the stage 2 comp 270 cams with springs and i want to know if i will need adjustable cam gears. while searching for this question iv seen some ppl have them and some ppl dont. also im pretty sure i will but will i need a different tune as well? thanks
that kinda my question too lol...are adjustable cam gears something i have to have? if their not id just rather put the stock cam gears on the new cams, not degree them, get it tuned and call it a day.

The cams you are planning on installing can cause the valves to hit the pistons if you do not degree them properly. This will cause bent valves and possibly other damage to your motor. You really need to degree them for the sake of your motor. You do not need adjustable gears to accomplish this. You can grind the keyways on the stock cam gears in order to get the adjustment necessary to make sure your valves don't hit.
If you are not prepared to do all that, you are better off choosing a less aggressive set of cams.
