Default comp cams stage 2

im looking at comp cam stage 2's im getting springs and retainers but i was wondering if anyone knows if i need to get the cam gears as well or if not? please let me know!

While those cams will work, there are better options just so you know. Especially if just staying n/a, and not changing the heads or intake.

As far as the cam gears, you might want to look into this instead:

so are you saying go with these cam gears or look at there cams as well? im not really sure what i want im replacing my springs n retatainers and possibly valves after i take em out and mesaure them and give it a valve job if needed

What are your plans for the car...any forced induction, heads, etc? The Comp stage 2's are okay, but MHS for example makes cams that are much more specifically taylored to individual needs. Making them a better choice IMO.

Also you should realize that those cams you're considering might have ptv clearance issues if installed at the proper specs on the stock PI heads.

as of right now im just doing some top end work, got my geears intake throttle body, plenum, so im doing my motor. it has the pi heads im really not sure if its worth buying heads cause im not planning on have tons of hsp just added some more and mayb down the road a supercharger but not for a little while
