Welcome to the forums. The biggest advice anyone on here could give you is to located the SEARCH tab above ^^ and type what your asking in. It's been asked and asked for every year and model of mustang.

The best difference right off the bat: GEARS + TUNE

Welcome to the forums, with a NPI 2v the first things I would starting looking into are gears (4.30s, 4.10s) and PI head swap.

A PI head Swap is a great place to start. You can get them from any Mustang 1999-2004 along with a variety of other vehicles ford stuffed the modular engine in.

You will also need the PI intake. Doing that swap people has seen gains of upwards of 60hp and the parts can be found a dime a dozen.

It's easier to just buy a PI engine for dirt cheap and just pop in a new motor.

Def get a good set of gears, if you plan on doing just basic bolt ons def get 4.30s because its sad to say even with long tubes and a tune its hard to break over 200rwhp with the non-pi 2v.
