Default Wireless Key remote Quit

My remote quit working. I figured it was the battery, so I bought another one. Still doesn't work. Tested the battery, it was good. When the remote door lock is pressed, where does the signal go to? Could the receiver in the car be bad or on a fuse or something? Is there anyway to see if the remote is actually working?

Weird question I know..but I dont want to spend over $50 bucks for another aftermarket remote, if the problem is in the car.

Auto zone checked the remote and its sending a signal. I checked EVERY fuse and they are fine. I don't know what else to check. Is there a remote relay or something? The power locks still work, not with the remote. How do I reprogram it?

...mine has been like that too for a few years now. How did you reprogram it?

Should be 'googleable'. It's cycling the key a few times, pressing the lock/unlock on the door and then the fob, iirc.

Yeah, there's a youtube video about it too.

Put the key in ignition, then cycle the following 8 times rapidly: turn it to ON, then turn it back to OFF.

I found this link in the forum and it worked. It took a couple of times. Make sure the locks work before you shut the key off.
