Default Window scratches..

So the other day i put my window down a little bit and heard a scraping sound i put it up and noticed what looked like a line of dirt..i had only put the window down a little so it was like 3 inches long but it was not dirt..it was a scratch!...now being that the car is 15 years old there are minor scratches on the window..but now im worried and i dont wanna put the window all the way as i dont want there to be a line going all the way up the window..what would you guys recommend?

just clean underneath the weatherstripping where the glass rides against. Im willing to bet you got some debris in there and its scratching the window. You can get a cheap plastic wedge to pull the weather stripping out a little bit and some compressed air to blow it out of there.
