1996 Mustang gt Axle code E...
So i was curious as to what the gear gatio was in my car, so i looked on the door jam and found that it was code E. I looked it up and I found that it was 3.27..is this correct?

The standard rear-end was 2.73, however 3.27s were available as an option--I do not know what the code was.
Here's a link to my "Rear Axle Gear Guesstinator", drive in 4th gear (or 3rd for autos) and not the rpm and mph at 40 to 50 mph. Then enter them in the appropriate boxes, change the rear tire size if needed and click the calculate button.
For example, let's say that at 2k rpm your car is going 45 mph, and you have the stock tires:
The calculator says 3.27. This is not 100% accurate of course, that's why it's a guesstimator...
