Default Throw out bearing question.

I just bought a 2001 GT and the previous owner installed a clutch before I bought it but he installed the clutch disc backwards and the throw out bearing failed.

I bought a new clutch kit and it's going in tomorrow, I'm not sure how to get the throw out bearing of the the clutch release lever. Actually it's the clutch release lever I don't know how to remove.

If I remember correctly, once you have the transmission out, the lever pulls off the bearing. The bearing can then be pulled off the input shaft.

Here's a photo of what it looks like, that may be of help:

On the right you can see the spring clips that hold the lever on the pivot ball, once the tranny is out pull the lever forward a bit and away from the pivot--it will pop off the ball. Install it in the same manner, in reverse. Lightly grease the ball, and socket in the lever, and pop the lever onto the ball--make sure the spring fingers do not get deformed.

This photo also shows the proper mounting of the TOB.

Here's a clear shot of it being installed, this on a TKO so they took the photo without the tranny mounting on the bell housing--on the 3650 you have to work it over the input shaft, not a big deal...
