Default 4.6/5.4 4V cylinder heads

What is the difference between these heads? Is it the valve size? Or do the 5.4 heads flow better? Either way I am looking for a set of 4V heads. They will be re-worked so I guess the differences aren't that important. I am just wondering if anyone happens to know.
Thanks
Marcus

And if anyone feels like going outside and taking their heads off today and putting them in the mail, let me know.

the best thing I think is to talk to someone like Summit Racing for new heads. I am trying to put new heads on my 97 GT and I think I migth just buy some new ones from Summit. I dont know what you would have to do to get the 4v heads on your ride. I would like to find that out also

Well, I have a 5.4 that is close to being complete. The heads themselves can be from a 4.6 or a 5.4. I think the flow is just better on the stock 5.4 compared to the 4.6. I guess I'll just google it?!?

How hard is it to switch to the 5.4 in place of my 4.6. Does anybody know what you need to do for parts (Like a new Tranny maybe)?

There aren't too pany parts that you will need, just alot of time/labor. If you have a complete 5.4 then you have half the battle right there. Getting it in, a hood to fit, exhaust to line up, a tune.. More little things than anything, once you get the motor actually sitting in the car.
